Demonstrate a broad understanding of literary and other text-based genres from one or more historical periods

Recognise the role as well as the critical and creative value of literature and other text-based genres, and of diverse reading and writing practices in specific historical, cultural and political contexts

Develop thorough knowledge of language and of writing techniques to express themselves analytically, creatively and persuasively
