Learning outcomes

1.

Practice the creative arts therapies with a proficient synthesis and application of contemporary theory and advanced evidence based knowledge, principles, concepts and skills to meet the requirements of a range of clients and employment contexts;

2.

Demonstrate strong communication skills to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams and to present to diverse audiences for a range of purposes that include assessment, treatment, education and research;

3.

Practice autonomously with developed reflective, reflexive, clinical and critical thinking skills, which are strengthened through ongoing relevant professional development and clinical supervision;

4.

Conduct case conceptualisations through comprehensive and integrative assessments and design clinically appropriate interventions and evaluations based on sound research evidence and practice experience;

5.

Practice with personal integrity and adhere to professional ethics to make professional judgements and establish and maintain therapeutic relationships and competently practice within multi-disciplinary teams, understanding the responsibilities and boundaries of one’s role

6.

Recognise and attend to ongoing self-care and personal development as a critical aspect of sound clinical practice.
