Award of Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB(Hons)): Students must apply for entry into Honours immediately prior to commencing their final 24 points of their law studies. The award of Honours is available on the basis of distinguished achievement across the Honours year. The required units for Honours are LLB580 (Honours thesis in Law) and LLB582 (Legal Research Methods for Honours and Masters). The student’s Honours Program must include any remaining required units for law (such as LLB450 (Civil Procedure), LLB452 (Corporations Law) and LLB468 (Ethics an Professional Responsibility). If a student does not have three required units to complete as part of their Honours program, then the Program can include any law specific electives. Students should seek advice and further information from the Chair of the Law School’s Honours Committee or the Law School Office.
