Learning outcomes
1.
Allow the student to develop their knowledge and skills in small animal soft tissue, orthopaedic surgery, and anaesthesia, as these are fundamental skills for performing small animal surgery.
2.
Create an organized approach to interpretation of common veterinary radiographic and ultrasound examinations.
3.
Allow the student to further develop their skills in the areas of information literacy, critical thinking, and problem solving.
4.
Develop the habit of reading and extracting relevant information from the veterinary literature.
5.
Provide a sound foundation in small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging, and self-directed learning for the student to build on in clinical practice.

Allow the student to further develop computer-based skills in preparation for clinical practice.
