Learning outcomes

1.

Communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues, both verbally and with written records, to uphold the relevant legal, ethical and welfare standards of clinical practice

2.

Assimilate and interpret information from a small animal case using signalment, history, clinical examination, and diagnostic tests/findings to solve a clinical problem, including recommendations for treatment/management.

3.

Gather and analyse clinical information from the veterinary literature and display critical thinking skills to successfully diagnose and manage surgical problems

4.

Demonstrate competency in fundamental surgical skills and ability to translate the practical experience to inform management of surgical problems.

5.

Select the most appropriate diagnostic imaging modality for a clinical case and interpret common veterinary diagnostic imaging findings

6.

Refine skills in information literacy, critical thinking, reflection, and problem solving.
