Examine the role of early childhood educators in being responsive to diverse experiences of childhood.
Establish some of the critical milestones in young children’s development across a range of domains.
Design an early childhood education and care program that supports the growth and learning of babies and toddlers.

The unit covers content that will:
1. Provide opportunities to apply theoretical understandings of early childhood education and care to practical program designs;
2. Initiate discussion about the scope and purpose of early childhood education and care;
3. Analyse contemporary issues in early childhood education and care; and
4. Extend critical and creative thinking about early years learning.
