Learning outcomes

1.

Evaluate and employ science and engineering fundamentals to the solution of complex renewable energy systems problems and broader aspects of Engineering practice.

2.

Systematically investigate, interpret, analyse and innovate solutions to advanced Engineering problems by using the major theories and Engineering fundamentals including mathematics and physics, circuits and fundamentals of electronics, control systems, and computer programming using MATLAB and Labview, etc.

3.

Establish advanced technical knowledge and skills in mathematical computations and knowledge of software development, in conjunction with the skills of project design, prototyping, commissioning and verification of renewable energy systems.

4.

Identify and critically appraise current research developments, advanced technologies, emerging issues and interdisciplinary linkages in use and employment of various techniques such as computer-based modelling, analysis, measurement and simulation for efficient and reliable operation of different renewable energy systems.

Develop advanced knowledge of contextual factors impacting the Engineering discipline, including sustainable Engineering practice.

Identify, analyse and communicate the interactions between systems, practice and people for a sustainable engineering environment.

Interpret and apply software-based and practical-based solutions of design , integration, planning, and management to an open-ended research or industrial task

Evaluate and apply Engineering tools, techniques and resources to complex renewable energy systems planning, integration, and management problems.

Interpret and apply systematic Engineering synthesis and design processes.

Evaluate and apply systematic approaches to the conduct and management of renewable energy systems based planning, integration, and management projects.
